Back at it again… with Blogging & Bay Area Travel Sessions

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged and posted my images.  A long while.  So long that I sat here fingers on keyboard just wondering how the hell to start.   It’s pretty darn hard to tell you the truth but I remember someone telling me that they loved reading the little story that was connected to the pictures I posted.  So, I’m back at it again with blogging about life, real life struggles and of course my photography.  I’m not going to write you novels and bore you but I’ll definitely try to entertain you.

During this time of year I gear up and get ready for my Bay Area Travel Sessions.  It started about 4 years ago, a high school friend of mine and I reconnected through Facebook.  Grace hadn’t changed, still the popular one!  She was now a nurse and spread the word at her hospital about me and she pretty much booked me up!  You could call her my photo session booking pimp.

Second year came along and booked up again but I had to bring my husband this time around.  I remembered how hard it was for me lugging my bag here and there.  So pretty much, I wanted him to come to be my bag slave.  If you know my husband, you know he suffered from gout.  He had surgery done on it and it was a miracle this man was walking and faster than me.  He didn’t have a gout episode in years, so coming with me to help and walk around was going to be easy peasy.  Piece of cake right?  Umm….NOT!  Gout episode flare up and he was no help in carrying my bag but he did make a great taxi driver.

Last year, the schedule was crazy!  14 client sessions to cull and edit.  I did work my butt off at night and tried to get as much work done as possible.  That was only possible because my husband didn’t come with me but this year with the kids older and we have a new driver in the house…He’s coming and hopefully gout free.

I’ve got to say, I thank all these families in the Bay for trusting me to do their photos without even knowing me.  I thank them for coming back to me each year.
